While watching a blockbuster, it can be annoying when you notice every single thing on the screen is CGI. No matter how amazing the special effects for Transformers, Fast and the Furious, or Pirates of the Caribbean are, you can't get invested when you know everything you're watching is fake.

But one of the few times this practice was utilised perfectly was during the airport fight in Captain America: Civil War. At a glance, you'd assume CGI was used sparingly.

In reality, the ENTIRE airport is computer generated. Every single vehicle, building, and pole is not really there. Even the sky is digital!

If you find that hard to wrap your head around, every masked superhero in this epic battle is also CGIed. Obviously, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Scarlet Witch were portrayed by the actors. But War Machine, Iron Man, Black Panther, Ant Man were all played by a bunch of 1s and 0s. You know when Spider-Man banters about Winter Soldier's robotic arm? Sebastian Stan was actually performing that shot alongside thin air.

Sometimes, knowing how certain special effects were implemented into a scene can ruin the movie magic. But here, being aware that this sequence contains almost as much CGI as a video game cut-scene makes the brawl more mind-blowing.
