10 Changes The DCEU Will Make After Justice League

4. Minimal Creative Control For Zack Snyder

Warner Bros clearly lost faith in Zack Snyder's dark, gritty vision for its DC cinematic universe somewhere between Batman v Superman and Justice League. It's desperation to turn the ship around really showed in the latter.

Whether Snyder was the right candidate for the role of franchise steward depends on who you ask, but it's clear the studio is eager to plot a course to more Marvel-like waters in the future.

The Man of Steel director is unlikely to direct another DC Extended Universe movie. His previous efforts have proved too divisive, and if there's one thing the franchise doesn't need right now, it's another polarising film.

While Warner might hand Snyder a few production credits here and there and enlist his services in an advisory capacity, his creative input will likely be minimal from here.

There are several talented filmmakers working within the DCEU, including Patty Jenkins, Joss Whedon and Matt Reeves, so it makes sense to hand the keys to the kingdom to one of them.
