10 Characters For Marvel Studios To Explore The Supernatural

2. Blade

You can't talk about Marvel's supernatural characters without giving a nod to Blade. The character was more or less forgotten by the late nineties, so it was a surprise to everyone when the film starring Wesley Snipes essentially helped breathe new life into the then-stagnant comic book movie.

After a great introduction and a stellar sequel, Blade's star pretty much crash and burned. Blade: Trinity is only memorable as essentially being Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool audition tape and no one really wants to talk about Blade: The Series.

But Blade still has potential, and Snipes himself thinks so, too. Marvel has the rights to the character again and Snipes has indicated that he's more than willing to don the trench coat and sunglasses again.

Of course, if Marvel does revisit Blade, there are some things they could do differently. The whole scientific approach to vampirism seemed kind of a waste. And with the supernatural existing in the MCU, there's no reason not to go with the mystic route.

A Blade revival could also see some cool supporting characters on the screen, such as the real Nightstalkers, Rachel Van Helsing, Bible John Carik.

And...dare we hope...could it also mean the return of Kris Kristofferson as Whistler? He got an unceremonious end, so it'd be great to see him once more.
