10 Characters For Marvel Studios To Explore The Supernatural
3. Hellstorm: Son of Satan
Daimon Hellstrom, who premiered as the Son of Satan and later took on the name Hellstorm, is without a doubt one of Marvel's most compelling characters—and sadly, one of its most-often abused.
A Hellstorm series that focuses on Daimon struggling with his demonic heritage as the son of Marduk Kurios while also acting as an occult investigator would be one of the best uses of Marvel's supernatural characters. Fox's Lucifer is a fun show, but Hellstorm has the potential to be so much more interesting.
Take a note from Marvel's sadly brief but undeniably excellent Hellstorm: Prince of Lies comic from the early 90s. Virtually every issue was a masterpiece and dealt with some really heavy issues. Plus it featured the early work of Warren Ellis, proving that even back then, he was great.
Hellstorm could essentially be Marvel's Constantine. Struggling between his father's influence while trying to do some good in the world, always questioning whether his decisions will take him one step closer to Hell, that'd make for some very compelling viewing.
If this were a Netflix series, it would allow Marvel to give Hellstorm the full adult treatment that a story like his would flourish under.
