10 Characters Joss Whedon Might Kill Off In Avengers: Age of Ultron

8. Captain America

Captain-America-Wallpaper-the-first-avenger-captain-america-30950512-1680-1050 Captain America was without question the trickiest character to get right out of the whole Avengers line-up to date; there were fears that the standalone movie was going to be nothing more than a corny flag-waving exercise, yet director Joe Johnston smartly transformed the flick into a retro, old-school adventure movie, which both nodded to and satirised the jingoism of the WW2 era. Seeing Cap then transported to the modern world resulted in plenty of hilarious comic relief, as he tried to adjust to modern customs, something that will no doubt be further explored in the highly-anticipated Captain America: The Winter Soldier. As for him being killed off in Age of Ultron, the character is just too iconic - not to mention too meaningful to Americans - to ever kill off, so this one just isn't likely to happen (but we're getting closer!), supremely ballsy as it would be. Chance Of It Happening: 3/10
