3. Galactus & His Heralds
Galactus and his Heralds are obviously owned by Fox, given that the devourer of worlds and his most famous Herald - the Silver Surfer - have already been used in a previous Fantastic Four movie. Of course, Fox made a grand mess of Galactus, depicting him as a giant, sentient cloud who was actually quite easily defeated by his own servant in the end - and we'd hate to see that happen again. There is also the fact that a reboot of the same franchise using the same villain could be boring. When Hulk rebooted, they didn't use that horrible version of the Absorbing Man again. When Spider-Man rebooted, they avoided going straight back to the Green Goblin and we're yet to see Doctor Octopus, Sandman or Venom again. Superman and Batman have obviously used General Zod, Lex Luthor, Bane and the Joker on more than one occasion, but those first movies were years ago and it was therefore justified. It would, in essence, be great to see the Avengers and the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have a chance at going against these cosmic forces of nature - as they have done so many times in the comics - and therefore it's a real shame that it currently can't happen. And the point here is that it's not only Galactus and the Silver Surfer that Marvel Studios can't use - Terrax, Firelord, Air-Walker, Stardust, Fallen One and Red Shift are all Galactus' Heralds, who could otherwise have had a big part to play in the cosmic expansion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
