10 Characters That Could Make Up MCU's Young Avengers
5. Hawkeye
There are many new heroes set to debut in Phase Four of the MCU, with most of the original Avengers having a new iteration coming through in some way, shape, or form. Fans will soon be treated to seeing She-Hulk, Ironheart, and Jane Foster wielding Mjolnir, but one of the most anticipated of these is without a doubt Kate Bishop.
The character has become a firm fan favourite of comic readers ever since her debut in 2005, just a year before the first coming together of the Young Avengers.
Kate will be portrayed by Hailee Steinfeld in Hawkeye on Disney+, in which she will take the titular mantle from the retired Clint Barton, making her a prime candidate to not only join the Young Avengers, but to lead them in the future.
Though she wasn't one of the team's original members in the source material, after she helped rescue a wedding party that she was a part of, she all but invited herself to be one of the team. After Captain America and Iron Man refused to train them, Kate took her new teammates to an abandoned warehouse her father owned, which would ultimately become their base of operations. It's easy to see how this could translate into the MCU.
