10 Characters That Could Make Up The MCU's Thunderbolts

1. Norman Osborn

Marvel Comics

This particular character has already had several different iterations on the big screen from Marvel, portrayed by Willem Dafoe in the Sam Raimi trilogy, and Chris Cooper in the Amazing Spider-Man 2. We certainly don't need another iteration of the Green Goblin, however there is another way to bring Norman Osborn to the MCU.

After the civil war, Osborn established his own version of the Thunderbolts, made up of villains seeking redemption and reform, including Songbird. His first roster was made up in order to hunt down superheroes unwilling to comply with the Superhero Registration Act, while the second was employed more as a group of mercenaries than anything else, and was even sent into Asgard during the Siege storyline.

Having Norman Osborn lead the MCU's Thunderbolts would be a great way of bringing a classic character into the franchise in a surprising way that hasn't been seen in the movies before. Something familiar yet refreshing.
