10 Characters That Need To Be Introduced In Future DC Movies

7. The Question

While Batman is busy saving the universe with the Justice League, cities like Gotham are in need of a mysterious detective who works in the shadows. Enter The Question, a role inhabited by carious DC characters, but most successfully by Renee Montoya.

Renee Montoya offers both diversity to the DCEU, and a chance for a distinctive and stylish movie. The character of The Question is similar to The Spirit, The Shadow or The Phantom and inhabits a film-noirish world much like them.

Batman is a street-level hero, but he has gadgets and takes on flamboyant villains. The Question is dealing with the unremarkable scumbags- and as such, it would be fun to see her appearances onscreen be framed like a film by Jean-Pierre Melville, Jules Dassin or Carol Reed.

Whether giving The Question her own solo movie, or incorporating her into Batman or The Flash's solo movie, having the torch be passed to her by the original Question would work well with Montoya's origin as a Gotham cop, before realizing she can only really get results by operating outside of the law as a masked vigilante.

Such an arc would be an interesting way for a character to go the way of Batman, without the tragic past and billionaire's resources.
