10 Characters The DCEU Wishes It Could've Introduced Differently

Introducing a character as already having been killed off was one hell of a move from DC. Really wanting to ratchet up the pain behind Bruce Wayne's motives in Dawn of Justice, they opted to hint at a battle-scarred Batman who had already lost too much long before Superman arrived on the scene.

We got a brief glimpse of his clashes with The Joker in Suicide Squad, but the real giveaway was the Robin armour immortalised in the Batcave and scrawled with the words "HA HA JOKES ON YOU BATMAN". The takeaway here, that Robin is dead, the Joker killed him, and Bruce Wayne holds himself personally responsible.

Given the popularity of the character though, rendering him entirely out of the equation from the get-go was a mistake the studio now probably wishes it could take back. As world-building for their idealised DCEU it's fine, but now that everything's being rebooted and reinvented it'll only confuse audiences for him to suddenly be alive somewhere down the line.
