10 Characters The DCEU Wishes It Could've Introduced Differently
7. Wonder Woman
First things first, Wonder Woman has been the breakout success of the whole DCEU. She's arguably the one thing from it all that's worth keeping, and if her second film's half as entertaining as her first then we're all in for a treat.
However, DC wasn't banking on Gal Gadot's star turn being the best thing they had. Superman and Batman, clashing together in the movie that was supposed to officially herald the start of the shared universe storytelling, was their best bet. But with that falling flat, neither man felt like the stars of Justice League and any future Batfleck movies were immediately shelved.
If they had their time over, a few teases at Wonder Woman's existence in Man of Steel would have been sufficient, before setting up Gadot to star in a Wonder Woman film well in advance of any proposed team-ups. After you've had a critically acclaimed leading role for her, interest in the character shoots up and her part in Dawn of Justice and Justice League becomes far more important. It's a smarter use of an important asset, rather than a mere supporting part.
