10 Characters The MCU Wishes It Could've Introduced Differently

1. Thanos

It's honestly a crying shame that the MCU's best villain (arguably even its best character full stop) was initially introduced the way he was. With some corny warning message about why you shouldn't take on Earth because, pffft, I mean, like 6 people will stop you, the camera pans across a mysterious spacial void to reveal... I weird, rubbery, Mastiff-looking purple wedge in a silly helmet. This was how we met Thanos.

Compared to the performance Josh Brolin would later put in during Infinity War, this is an almost comical representation of the Mad Titan. He looks cheap, he looks awkward, he looks like he was made on a laptop in a pub with only the big lad from the McDonald's Happy Meals for inspiration. He is not believable as a threat to a man with a bow and arrow, never mind the entire galaxy.

Why Marvel simply haven't reshot this with Brolin and added it to all future releases of the movie and its DVDs is beyond me. It could be done in a few minutes and would go light-years to making the whole Infinity Saga feel like more of a cohesive story. You can hardly blame Marvel for this in fairness but had they any idea of how important Thanos would become, they'd never have shot their load over this meagre tease.
