10 Characters Who MUST Appear In Upcoming Movie Sequels

You might not remember much about the Duke Of Weselton from Frozen, but that’s only because he was criminally underused. He’s no more than a tertiary character really, but there’s one big reason why he should return.

That reason is Alan Tudyk, an actor with a filmography as eclectic as anyone in Hollywood, who’s become a Disney mainstay these recent years. Just as John Ratzenburger has made his way around Pixar’s movies, Tudyk has featured in most Walt Disney animation movies recently, while still making time for roles in Star Wars: Rogue One, Trumbo and Suburgatory.

The Duke was a background joke, occasionally popping up to get incensed that people were mispronouncing Weseleton as ‘Weasletown’. To add to the gag, Tudyk plays an actual weasel in Zootropolis, but again doesn’t get all that much screen time.

He has a similarly minor role in Moana, but in Wreck-It Ralph and Big Hero 6 he shines as King Candy (arguably Disney’s best modern villain) and Alistair Krei. Give the Duke enough lines to rival these two and Tudyk could steal the spotlight, even amidst all the inevitable catchy songs.

If the Duke himself is absent, surely they’ll recast Alan Tudyk and put him to good use.
