10 Characters Who Will Never Survive A Horror Movie

7. The Group Leader

Anyone who steps up to the plate and takes control of the situation will likely regret the macho decision fairly swiftly when they find their authority undermined by a great big fatal wound. They might take some slight solace in the fact that they will probably be one of the last ones to die, since they'll need to give the Survivor the tools and hints they need to survive the killer, but how much solace can really be gained from that? The kill time will come an awful lot quicker if the self-appointed leader does his or her best to force authority on other people, making poor and very obvious mistakes along the way and probably getting some poor unfortunate lesser character killed. If you are in any way bungling, you deserve to die by the rules of the horror universe, because there's nothing much worse than an inflated sense of self-importance. This would come as bad news to Fred from Scooby Doo, who would qualify for both sexual promiscuity (probably) and self-appointed authority. There is no way he should have survived all those haunted houses, but then I suppose Scooby Doo would have been a far different prospect if the gang kept getting wiped out every week.
