10 Characters Who Will Probably Die In 2016's Biggest Movies

3. Shere Khan - The Jungle Book

In case you were living under a rock somewhere, there's a new Jungle Book movie on its way next year, people. A Disney one. A live-action one. Excited? Thought so. Directed by Jon Favreau and featuring an epic, all-star cast made up of talents such as Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Lupita Nyong'o, Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito and Christopher Walken, The Jungle Book also stars Idris Elba as the villainous tiger Shere Khan. Can you imagine better casting than that? The answer is: "No. Uh-uh." Unfortunately for Shere Khan, though, there's a strong possibility that he's going to wind up... well, dead, to be honest. Khan dies in a lot of the filmic incarnations of The Jungle Book, and he dies in the original stories written by Rudyard Kipling, too. In the books, Mowgli gets a load of buffalos to stomp on him and then cuts off his hide, which probably won't happen here, 'cause this is a family film. He'll still probably end up being killed, though, in either one of the two classic Disney villain death scenarios: falling from a great height, or consumed by fire. Let's go with fire.
