1. The Children
A final return to the horror genre begins with a lovely Christmas holiday, with celebrations, presents and joy. However, as this list has adequately demonstrated, that was a situation destined to turn for the worse. The joyous parents are slow to recognise the severe change in attitude of the children. It begins innocently enough - staring into space and a slightly more aggressive attitude could all be attributed to too many hours playing video games. However, this soon escalates on to deliberate homicidal activity from the children towards their parents, who are seemingly incapable of taking advantage of their greater size and strength. The parents are so psychologically scarred by the brutal killings performed by their own children that they cannot bring themselves to fight back, and despite the plot hole of failing to effectively identify the reason for the children's destructive behaviour, the film is a spine-chilling mix of violence and suspense. The film is therefore one to watch on a late night if you want that horror-induced adrenaline rush, as it is more than suitable for providing that kick. However, this should definitely not be viewe in front of your own kids, or you may suffer the horrific consequences of buying them bad presents. You have been warned. http://youtu.be/QOrcIyvW5Rk What do you think - did we miss any non-child-friendly Christmas flicks? Share your own picks below.
