5. Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)
Young Billy Chapman witnesses his parents being murdered by a robber dressed as Santa Claus, and whilst living in a Catholic orphanage, he develops a greater sense of punishing the naughty, as well as a hatred of Santa Claus. When Chapman reaches the age of 18, he assumes the role of a Santa Claus at his local mall, and at any time he witnesses any behaviour he has learnt to be naughty, he brings about a brutal punishment. Billy kills everybody at the mall in the evening, and proceeds to go on a killing spree, killing fornicating adults as he was taught it was a bad thing for people to do. This leads to police searching for a man dressed as Santa Claus, shooting everybody it seems besides Billy himself, including a deaf priest. The only person offering any condolence to the poor boy is Sister Margaret, who understands his issues surrounding his parents' death, but he continues on his rampage, leading to the showdown with Mother Superior, where she shocks the world by announcing on film that there is no such thing as Santa Claus. That moment, above all the killing, attempted sexual assault and police brutality, is why children are not allowed to watch this film. Of course she was lying, if any youngsters are reading this - and if you are under 12 and reading this then go away and forget everything you have read so far. http://youtu.be/ph2qpWw7nZI
