4. Admiral Marcus Sends All The People He Deceived To One Place - Star Trek Into Darkness

Captain Kirk and the rest of the Starfleet team are engaged in a meeting, discussing the bombing of their London branch, when all of a sudden, Benedict Cumberbatch begins floating past the window in a jumpship. It's a bizarre situation for anyone to find themselves in, but Cumberbatch is Khan, the same terrorist who bombed London. He kills Kirk's friend, and disappears to the home of the Klingons, leaving the man in charge, war-mongering Admiral Marcus, to send his best troops off to dispose of this man, with 72 huge torpedoes. This is all part of Marcus's plan though; he used Khan to develop the torpedoes, and then sent the Starship Enterprise into the path of Khan and the Klingons, hoping for a bloodbath so that he could start a war. But isn't this plan a little risky? It's dependent on the idea that Kirk will attack the Klingons, fail to repair the warp-drive in time, and will somehow avoid all kind of conversation with Khan. In reality, Khan will likely side with Kirk if it means revenge on Marcus, the Enterprise team are capable of repairing a warp-drive at least partly, and Kirk, Spock and Uhura aren't likely to attack the Klingons, especially given that Kirk's on borrowed time for his reckless behaviour at the start of the film. That's an awful lot of maybes that Marcus was banking on, and there was no way the plan was going to play out without Kirk finding out that Marcus was betraying him. At least keep it vaguely secret if you're planning to kill the whole crew of a spaceship.
