10 Classic Special Effects That Put Modern Hollywood To Shame

7. Jurassic Park

I have to be honest, I really am not a fan of Jurassic Park (oh man am I going to get hate mail over this one) as I found it to be way too long and extremely boring at times. I actually almost left the theater at one point when I went to see it back in the day but changed my mind once the T-Rex finally showed up. As much as I don€™t really care for the movie I have to admit that the effects are top-notch and the dinosaurs look (and sound) realistic as Hell. If I didn€™t know any better, I would swear that the filmmakers went back in time and grabbed some actual dinosaurs to star in this movie. I know that some CGI was used (in combination with animatronics) to make the dinosaurs come to life and as a general rule I hate computer effects of any kind but this film is the exception. If all CGI looked as good as it did in this instance I wouldn€™t have a problem with it at all.
