10 Comedy Movies Audiences Walked Out Of

2. Epic Movie

In many ways, Scary Movie was a turning point for cinema. The parody flick generated a whole new subgenre of satirical movies. Now, was that a good thing or not? If you look at it as the reason why the world got this car crash of a movie, then you'll have your answer.

There are a few words other than Epic that might be a more appropriate title for this movie. But, it's not possible to say any of them without the need for some heavy censorship. The film was a typical "movie" movie, with a smorgasbord of unrelated parodies of popular flicks of the time, including but not limited to: The Chronicles of Narnia, X-Men, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Da Vinci Code.

It's a rather obvious travesty of a film, full of lazy gross-out humour, dated movie references and a lack of coherent storytelling in favour of terrible slapstick and wordplay. Thus, it's no surprise that the film's audiences were walking out. One Buzzfeed user (hilaryemsmith) even said they walked out because it made "Twilight look like high-art". Damn!

Although, casting Crispin Glover as a creepy Willy Wonka at least deserves a *chef's kiss*. Some very self-aware/meta casting right there.
