10 Comic Book Castings That Were Perfect (But In A Different Role)

9. George Clooney As Deadshot Instead Of Batman

Clooney Lanzer Fans and critics alike deride Batman & Robin... hell, even George Clooney admits how terrible the film was, bat nipples and all, but that shouldn't spell the end for Clooney's affiliation with the Batman universe. A bold career move for Clooney would be a return to the franchise, but as a villain rather than the main hero. Batman's rogues gallery is one of the most iconic, but when I think of Clooney, I can't see him in any of the roles that have already been snatched up by previous film adaptations and besides, it's boring to see the same few villains recycled for each new reboot of the franchise. That's why Deadshot would be a perfect pick for Clooney. The hired assassin originally appeared as a new crime fighter in Gotham City until his plot to replace the Dark Knight was revealed. Clooney always goes for the charming characters usually, but this role would require him to subvert that persona in a darker manner that may surprise his usual fans.
