10 Comic Book Castings That Were Perfect (But In A Different Role)
3. Amy Adams As Lana Lang Instead Of Lois Lane
You have to congratulate Amy Adams. It took three auditions for three separate Superman films, but after much perseverance, she finally bagged the iconic role of Lois Lane. Adams is a phenomenal actress and her portrayal as the roving reporter was received well by critics and fans alike. However, Adams could have been even better suited to another key supporting character who has been conspicuously absent from some of the big screen adaptations of Superman over the years. While Lois Lane is Superman's primary love interest, another LL won his heart first, back before Clark Kent left Smallville to work in Metropolis. Adams is clearly too old to play a young Lana Lang from Clark's teenage years, but the upcoming Superman sequel could have introduced the character as an adult in Metropolis, vying for Clark's affections. The resultant love triangle would inject a much needed spark into Lois's and Clark's romance, but unfortunately, this will probably never happen now. And no, this choice isn't just about the hair colour!
