10 Comic Book Characters That Need The Brightburn Treatment

There are so many ways to take a horror Wolverine, with plenty of options for a slasher flick in the style of Freddy or Jason. Those two are terrifying enough, but imagine Nightmare On Elm Street or Friday the 13th with Wolverine as the lead character?!

There’s an opportunity to stay closer to Brightburn though and retell the origins. Speaking of, in X-Men: Origins Wolverine, the best scene (i.e. the only good one) occurs near the start as we see an ageless Logan fighting in various wars... imagine a horror take on that.

Think Predator, but where the Predator is in the US army. It could be a old ghost story, of a certain unit being picked off one by one by an animalistic creature. They’re shredded open in a way no man could do; they’ve been attacked by beasts.

It happened in American Revolution, then in the Civil War, then in World War II. Now it’s happening in Vietnam, with the Wolverine stalking his fellow soldiers once more.

Logan already proved how great a darker Wolverine movie could be, but something like this could be pitch black.
