7. Green Lantern
When you think of Green Lantern you don’t normally think of horror. However, you’d be surprised how much horror is ingrained into the mythos. With characters such as the Black Lanterns around, there is always a chance that a zombie outbreak could take form in the DCEU.
The Sinestro Corps is the embodiment of fear which means any ounce of fear that their victims have is just fuel for them to power their rings, and the stronger the corps is the less chance you have at stopping them. That in itself is terrifying, because the only way to stop the Sinestro Corps is to not be scared. As the saying goes: “there’s nothing to fear but fear itself”.
If you’ve read “The First Lantern” storyline then you know who Volothoom is. Volothoom/The First Lantern is originally a human from an alternate reality that witnessed our Dawn of Time. Volothoom has the ability to warp reality, meaning that anyone who comes face to face with him could be taken on an emotional rollercoaster.
Volothoom can peek inside your biggest regrets and traumas in life, shaping them however he pleases. If this were to be put into a film, it would be like the ghost of Christmas Future visiting Scrooge. The trauma that these Lanterns would have to fave would be exponential.
