10 Comic Book Movie Plots That Rely On Idiotic Decisions

3. Tony Stark Goes Up Against A Terrorist Organisation With A Nail Gun (Iron Man 3)

Iron Man 3 saw Aldrich Killian - a man whose ideas Tony Stark had previous snubbed - taking his problems out on the world and doing so by letting an actor calling himself the Mandarin take the credit. When Tony's friend Happy Hogan was hurt in one of Killian's attacks, Tony's first mistake was publicly inviting him to attack his mansion - which Killian's forces promptly did. But when Tony retaliated and attempted to take the Mandarin down - the main plot of the movie - he did so in quite idiotic fashion. Putting together an arsenal using garden supplies and wielding a nail gun, Tony attacked the mansion he had tracked the Mandarin to and faced off with several of Killian's superhuman henchman whilst pitifully armed in comparison.
