10 Comic Book Movie Roles Matthew McConaughey Should Play
2. Adam Warlock
McConaughey reprising his role not only as a sad space man, but as a superpowered sad space man, is an enthralling concept. Captain Marvel might be a little too standard for a character actor of his sudden stature, however especially if they have to call him Mar-Vell or whatever to avoid confusion with Carol Danvers so what are the alternatives? Guardians Of The Galaxy was chocka with Easter Eggs for eagle-eyed fans, with one in particular intriguing those hardcore Cosmic Marvel readers. The Collector's, ahem, collection included a six-foot tall, slimy cocoon that to many looked like the sort of thing Adam Warlock used to rejuvenate in. As integral to Cosmic Marvel comics as Mar-Vell, Adam Warlock's was a bizarre, trippy exploration of the psychedelic edges of the universe, complete with some time is a flat circle ideas of recurrence, consciousness and the capacity for good and evil. A brilliantly left-field idea for a Marvel film, with McConaughey appropriately left-field for the star.
