It's a startling revelation, driving home the very nature of the comic in one moment. Instead, Snyder opts for a more subtle take on the concept of unity through mutual destruction, with actor Matthew Goode bringing all of Adrian Veidt's convictions perfectly to the surface. Though many fans derided the film for replacing Veidt's squid plan with his intention to blame Dr. Manhattan, Goode brought the most important parts of the scene to life perfect in the film.
