10 Comic Book Movie Scenes Taken Straight From The Panels

10. Spider-Man No More! - Spider-Man 2

Sony PicturesSony PicturesIn The Amazing Spider-Man #50, written by Stan Lee and drawn by John Romita, Sr., Peter Parker's life as the web-head came to a halt. He gave up the life of a superhero and chucked his costume into the trash, walking down the dark alley into freedom. This iconic shot has been done and re-done over the years in many Spidey comics, including Ultimate Spider-Man and even a few non-Spidey books. So when Sam Raimi decided to loosely adapt the storyline in 2004's Spider-Man 2, it was clear that he had to include this in the film. MarvelYou have to give Raimi some bonus points as well, for having Peter actually use the words "Spider-Man no more" in the film during a dream sequence with Uncle Ben. What follows is an amazing recreation of the scene as he throws the costume away, the signature Danny Elfman score humming behind him, and walks away. The shot of a silhouetted Peter in the distance, the costume draped over the trash can, it's absolutely ace directing from Raimi. Much like the comic, Peter eventually returns to his duties as Spider-Man, but this scene forever stands as a landmark in superhero cinema.
