10 Comic Book Movie Scenes Taken Straight From The Panels

9. Kick-Ass Gets Stabbed - Kick-Ass

Universal PicturesUniversal PicturesSince both the Kick-Ass film and comic were being written at the same time, with Matthew Vaughn handling the movie and Mark Millar doing the comic, it was pretty easy to imagine them overlapping. Millar and Vaughn's versions of the film share a lot of differences, as well, but one shocking scene from the comic is depicted nearly verbatim in the film. During his day on the job fighting crime, Kick-Ass doesn't do so hot; as in, he gets stabbed and hit by a car. MarvelMarvelIt was a truly memorable scene in the comic, showcasing how distinctly realistic Millar's world was, and it works equally well on film. The scene unfolds on film with only subtle differences, mainly in dialogue and the amount of goons that Kick-Ass is fighting, but the overall scene is pretty spot on. The importance of the scene to Millar's world can't be understated, which makes it even more imperative in the film, as it drives home the big theme of the story in one fell swoop.
