10 Comic Book Movie Scenes Taken Straight From The Panels

7. Bullseye Kills Elektra - Daredevil

20th Century Fox20th Century FoxThough Ben Affleck's first turn as a superhero has been critically panned by fans over the years, Daredevil still maintained a few clear connections to the comic that inspired it. Specifically, the untimely death of Elektra at the hands of Bullseye. It's a scene that was first printed in Daredevil #181, which saw Bullseye engage in a brutal fight with Elektra and stab her with her own sai. It's a scene that would likely be crucified as a "Woman In Refrigerators" moment today, but it was pretty shocking at the time. MarvelMarvelSo when Daredevil was finally adapted to the big screen in 2003, director Mark Steven Johnson stuck pretty close to this iconic scene. The sick, disturbing pleasure that Bullseye gets from killing Elektra in the comics seems to be present in Colin Farrell's performance, and there's even a few panel-to-screen homages to the issue for good measure. There's a few differences; the major one being that Daredevil wasn't present for her death in the comics, whereas in the movie she crawls to his house afterwards. Even so, it's a well-directed scene that pays very clear homage to the comic.
