10. What Exactly Is That Sceptre? (Captain America: The Winter Soldier)

One of the major plot points in the Avengers movie was that Loki had been handed a powerful sceptre by the Mad Titan Thanos in order to help him and the Chitauri take over the Earth. At first, it seemed that the sceptre utilised the power of the Tesseract to function - with Captain America commenting that it seemed to work very much like a HYDRA weapon which used the same power source - but the mid-credits scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldier seemed to hint that there was more to it than that. Referring to the sceptre itself, Baron Wolfgang von Strucker said "what we have is worth more than any of them ever knew. We've only scratched the surface." This would suggest the blue glowing area of the weapon may be an Infinity Stone unto itself and that the sceptre is capable of considerably more feats than what was shown in the Avengers. We will probably find out more in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
