10 Comic Book Movies That Could Have Been Saved With A Single Tweak

8. Parting With The Awkward Chronology - Man Of Steel

Man Of Steel was a disappointment: there's no getting around that. Whilst most were expecting something akin to the greatness that engulfed Christopher Nolan's seminal superhero flick, The Dark Knight, we ended up with something a little less a polished: a flick crammed with ideas both good and bad, and a narrative that couldn't seem to find a center, and failed to render any of its characters as particular interesting individuals. But by far the weirdest thing about Man of Steel, and the aspect that - should it have been remedied - would have resulted in a far more solid motion picture experience, is the chronological ordering of the narrative. Instead of just telling Clark's story in a normal time frame, we pointlessly skip between the years, going back and forth, until the idea is abandoned completely. And it makes for a messy, scattershot Superman movie.
