10 Comic Book Movies That Should've Been Made Years Ago

8. Wonder Woman

Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are generally regarded as the "holy trinity" of DC Comics. They're the big three, the trio of flagship company's and the biggest draws in terms of comic book readership. Superman first appeared in film serials in 1948, before his first theatrical release - Superman and the Mole Men - in 1951. He has since appeared more famously in four films starring Christopher Reeve between 1978 and 1977, as well as 2006's Superman Returns and 2013's Man of Steel. Batman first appeared in film serials in the the 1940s as well, before a theatrical version of the Adam West television series was produced in 1966. Since then, four Batman films were made in the 1980s and 1990s, before the franchise was rebooted in 2005 with Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. With the two male members of the holy trinity clearly getting lots of attention, why hasn't Wonder Woman? She really, really should have by now.
