10 Comic Book Movies That Should've Been Made Years Ago
7. Planet Hulk / World War Hulk
The idea of a live action Hulk has long been conceived. Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno played the green hero and his alter-ego in six movies and a television series between 1977 and 1982. Eric Bana played the character in 2003's Hulk movie and Edward Norton took on the role in 2008 before Mark Ruffalo took over for the Avengers movie. Granted, the Planet Hulk storyline - which developed in to the World War Hulk storyline - was only published as a comic from 2006, but such was its success that it should have been thee first place Marvel went with their subsequent live action offerings. At the very least it should have been one of the announced films in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but, given that Hulk fans really want to see him being destructive, it should have been done before now.
