3. Batman Vs Superman

As already touched upon in this article, Batman and Superman have had a very strong screen presence as live action characters for many years. Since the 1940s, the pair have accumulated countless different portrayals on both the big and small screen and, collectively, they have grossed huge amounts of money and amassed a huge fan-base. Therefore, given how often they are together in the comic books - and particularly bearing in mind how often they have come to blows - it is completely baffling trying to think up a valid reason that DC haven't already thought of putting them on screen together before now. Granted, their "versus" movie is coming in 2016 - in fact filming has already finished - but you'd think that DC would have been aware of the inevitable box office records that a movie with both heroes in would break for a long time.
