10 Comic Characters You Totally Forgot Are Already In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

7. Jackson Norriss

Who? Over the years, Norriss has been a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and even briefly served as a member of the Defenders when his consciousness was temporarily moved into Nighthawk's body, but now currently exists as one of many investigative reporters within Marvel lore. In the MCU: Norriss turned up as a documentary filmmaker in the One-Shot "All Hail the King" interested in interviewing the incarcerated Trevor Slattery, though his true intentions were revealed by the short film's end when he revealed his membership to the Ten Rings. He staged a prison break for the confused Slattery in order to kidnap and deliver him to the real Mandarin to answer for impersonating him. Why You Forgot: Norriss is a pretty minor character in the comics, and though the One-Shot used his status as a reporter as the basis for the MCU version's fake facade, there's not much else in the way of similarity.
