10 Comic Characters You Totally Forgot Are Already In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

6. Cameron Klein

Who? Cameron Klein is a S.H.I.E.L.D. technician whose grandfather was rescued in World War II by Captain America. Appearing in several issues alongside Cap, Klein helped the hero, Sharon Carter, and Dum Dum Dugan subdue the villainous Cache, after which Klein had Cap meet his dying grandfather so that the latter could thank him for saving his life before finally passing away. In the MCU: There are actually two Cameron Kleins in the MCU, the first of which (pictured left) appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier - where he was memorably held at gunpoint by Brock Rumlow - before returning aboard the Helicarrier in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The second (pictured right) appeared in "The Writing on the Wall," a second season episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that featured the character as a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who had undergone Project T.A.H.I.T.I. to keep him from dying, given a new civilian life as Hank Thompson. Why You Forgot: Quite simply, Klein is a very minor character in the comics, so it's incredibly easy to overlook him as the inspiration - especially when it's in name only, as with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s version - behind the two Kleins present in the MCU.
