4. Michael B. Jordan

If you saw Fruitvale Station, you know exactly why Michael B. Jordan is on this list. Every couple years there's an absolutely fantastic film that comes out of the festival circuit that does right by ethnic minorities, and reminds us all of what could happen if there were fewer white dudes and Tyler Perry in the movie industry. Fruitvale Station was last year's example, and its success is almost entirely owed to writer/director Ryan Coogler and, of course, the film's breakout star, Michael B. Jordan. He got a lot of attention for this film, and as a result, he can have his pick of film roles. So what's Jordan up to now? Well, he had a supporting role in Zac Efron's vehicle That Awkward Moment, but the big news comes down on the superhero front. It was recently announced that he's going to play Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the new Fantastic Four reboot, alongside Kate Mara (Sue Storm), Jamie Bell (The Thing), and Miles Teller (Mr Fantastic). And what happened to the last guy who played The Human Torch? Oh yeah, he's Captain America now. That film won't be hitting theaters until June 2015, but just the fact that he's attached will increase his star value by a significant amount.
