10 Completely Insane Ways Film Actors Scored Famous Parts
7. Mila Kunis - Black Swan
Mila Kunis is no stranger to landing roles in odd ways. The Family Guy star was only cast in That '70s Show because she lied about her age, telling casting directors that she was 18 when she was in fact closer to 14.
For Black Swan though, Kunis came recommended by friend Natalie Portman, who told director Darren Aronofsky that she was perfect for the part. Rather than meeting in person though, and giving the actress a formal audition, Aronofsky conducted a couple of Skype conversations with Kunis; apparently, the first few sessions that choreographer Benjamin Millepied conducted with both Kunis and Portman were via webcam too.
Kunis was informed that she'd won the role in the film via text too; isn't modern technology wonderful, eh?
