The Easter Egg: Sam Raimi is known for the dark humour he injects into his movies, but this easter egg shows that he has a much lighter side too.

Apparently, Alfred Molina needed some acting lessons to be able to play Doctor Otto Octavius to the best of his ability, so Raimi brought in a fellow supervillain actor to help: Willem Dafoe (Green Goblin in Raimi's original trilogy).

Dafoe can be seen trussed up in the Doctor Octopus mechanical arms, reading some of Molina's lines from a piece of paper.

How To Find It: You'll need Spider-Man 2 on DVD first - the special edition. Insert Disc 2. Click on the 'Making The Amazing' section. Press up on your keypad/remote to be taken to the clip.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
