It’s not always horror movies that feature a crazy chainsaw kill. We can’t let the horror movies have all the fun now can we?! A terrifying chainsaw kill can take place in any genre. Although saying that, I haven’t seen one pop up in any rom-coms… Yet.

Brian De Palma’s sensational feature about a Cuban immigrant getting fed up of flipping burgers and becoming a crime boss is full of tension and violence. Someone tell Hollywood that this doesn’t need to be remade. Please.

It’s during a drug deal gone wrong that we get perhaps the most memorable scene in the movie. It’s a close call between this and the final sequence. Our anti-hero Tony Montana, played exquisitely by Al Pacino, manages to find himself, along with his partner, in a bathtub and at the mercy of some very nasty fellas. To show that they mean business, one of the nasty fellas takes a chainsaw to Tony’s partner and makes him watch. The ensuing sound effects, blood spray and Al Pacino’s reaction really sell this scene to the viewer and once experienced, won’t be forgotten in a hurry!
