2. Jerry Orbach - Beauty And The Beast

Lumiere When you look at Jerry Orbach€™s resume, you€™ll see a lot of doctors and lawyers, and of course there's his massively long stay on Law and Order. But right smack in the middle of all these serious, dour roles, there€™s a charming little candlestick. In 1992, he took on the role of Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast, a sweet-talking French candelabra. We knew that Jerry Orbach has a strong background in theater, having spent most of the early years of his career on the New York stage before transitioning to film and television. So while we had an inkling that he might have some serious showmanship hidden up his sleeves, none of us were expecting that the straight-laced father from Dirty Dancing would have so much charisma. He owns the movie, overshadowing both Belle and the Beast, and his signature number Be Our Guest is a showstopper.
