10 Crazy Cartoon Voice Casting Choices That Actually Worked

3. Jason Lee - The Incredibles

Syndrome1 When most of us think of Jason Lee, we think of a laidback stoner who would occasionally get irritated over minor issues and go off on long, involved rants (his hatred of small children riding the elevator unsupervised in Mallrats comes to mind). This is largely because he began his career working in Kevin Smith films back in the early 90s, and that€™s a very popular character type in his movies. Also, the fact that he named his son Pilot Inspektor contributes to the image. Given Kevin Smith's often controversial films, it's sort of surprising that Pixar would choose one of his stars to feature heavily in The Incredibles. He's not exactly a particularly kid-friendly actor. But when you think about it, the decision to cast him as a fanboy turned enraged supervillain makes an odd sort of sense. It's a stroke of brilliance, really. To be honest, that wouldn't be out of place in a Kevin Smith movie.
