10 Crazy Details Hidden In Horror Movies
5. Scream 3 - Bulletproof Vest
Alright, time to come clean - we never said anything about the movies on this list being any good, did we?
There are many great examples of clever, subtle foreshadowing dotted throughout the Scream series. There are also the bizarre and hilariously out-of-place moments in the first film where the killer is seen stalking around Sidney’s backyard and the middle of a supermarket in broad daylight, but every classic horror has its “Michael Myers driving past Loomis in the afternoon while wearing his mask” moments.
But even the franchise’s worst entry has some choice touches when it comes to setting up its twists, outlandish as they may be. Scream 3 may suffer for the absence of screenwriter Kevin Williamson’s signature wit, but the film does manage to sneak in some clever background detail among the smug in-jokes and corny dream sequences.
Consider the early scene where battle-hardened Final Girl talks to too-McDreamy-to-be-a-serious-suspect Detective Kincaid. Keep a close eye and you’ll catch a glimpse of a standard-issue bulletproof vest - the same one which will save her life in the movie’s final scenes.
