10 Crazy In-Universe Rules Star Wars Characters Must Follow
2. The Tarkin Right Of Passage
Grand Moff Tarkin was without a doubt the most ruthless servant of the Emperor. Even with all of his mechanical organs, Darth Vader had more of a heart than this guy. He believed that ruling through the threat of terror was the only way to curtail the many systems in the galaxy.
Indeed he had no problem employing devastating tactics in order to cower the populous of the Empire into submission, destroying entire planets purely to show he meant business. Yep, this was one messed up guy. And it's not surprising considering the ordeal every Tarkin of a certain age was forced to go through.
Tarkin's home planet of Eriadu was a wild place with creatures and habitats that were so dangerous it was near inhospitable for humans. His family colonised the planet many generations before he was born, civilising vast eras to settle on. Even so, huge reserves were left untouched. When the Tarkin men reached a certain age they were required to travel into the wilderness and learn the difficulties of the early settlers.
Tarkin was forced to pit his wits against wild and savage creatures, becoming horribly scarred from the ordeal, both mentally and physically.
