10 Crazy Movie Sequels That (Thankfully) Never Happened

You remember Princess Diana, don't you? Beautiful, charitable, beloved Princess Diana. What about The Bodyguard, that overrated romance film from 1992, starring Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston? Now imagine what might have happened had all those things, like, melded together, and you're looking at what could have very well ended up being The Bodyguard 2.

At least, that's what Kevin Costner revealed to a confused public back in 2012. According to the actor, the star of Dances with Wolves and Waterworld, he'd been talking to an "interested" Princess Diana about the chances of her starring in a sequel to The Bodyguard, and "told her [he] would take care of her just the same way that [he] took care of Whitney."

The film would have apparently seen Diana playing a character similar to herself, a woman targeted by a dangerous cyber threat.

Where did this conversation take place, by the way? How did these two very different people even end up talking to one another, let alone start work on an unnecessary sequel? Had this happened, I have every confidence that it would have been a total and utter disaster. It's not like Princess Diana, lovely as she was, was renowned for her acting abilities.

Come to think of it, neither is Kevin Costner, though.
