Bucky Barnes was Captain America's best friend who heroically sacrificed himself fighting Hydra in the Second World War. Yet instead of dying, Bucky was taken by Hydra and, through horrific experimentation and years of brainwashing, turned into the monstrous villain known as the Winter Soldier.

As the Winter Soldier, Bucky killed hundreds of innocent people wearing the mask placed on him by Hydra which created a creepy, dark, presence.

This paired with one of the best villain scores helped to establish the Winter Soldier as an unstoppable force for evil. Even when simply sitting in the shadows of a Hyrda leader's house, the Winter Soldier had a sheer aura of evil that made him perfectly creepy.

The Winter Soldier, in just a single movie, took out Nick Fury, wounded Black Widow several times, and came close to killing Cap along with his new partner the Falcon.

While the main heroes were able to survive their encounters with the Winter Soldier, many innocents were not so lucky. Often in other MCU films and shows, we got a mere glimpse of just how effective Bucky was at killing people, including Tony Stark's parents.

Each scene is more uncomfortable to watch than the last, especially Tony's parents and the son of Bucky's friend Yori Nakajima, as the Winter Soldier's creepy presence makes it harder to watch knowing how much Bucky regrets his actions.
