Miko Hughes wasn't even three years old when he played the malevolent murder-tot Gage Creed in Pet Sematary. It's uncanny how a child, who couldn't possibly understand the depth of character, could evoke such sinister pathos as this. As human beings, we are struck in all the most sensitive of places by Gage because he forces the viewer to examine the direction of his or her own moral compass. Your sweet, innocent child is unnecessarily killed in an accident. Can you resist the temptation to bring him back, even if it means that he returns... different? How do you handle knowing that what you brought back is a homicidal fiend who looks and sounds just like your baby boy? Furthermore, can you bring yourself to end his life again? It's that unique psychological anguish that puts Gage so high on this list. Gage gets a gold creep star for the phone call scene with his father, Louis Creed, where he informs dear old dad: "Now I wanna play with youuuuu......."
