9. Mr Wing from Gremlins

Mr Wing obviously wants a quiet life. In Gremlins, he runs the store where Randall Peltzer buys the Mogwaii. He doesn't even want to do this as it's his grandson who sneaks Gizmo out and sells him to Peltzer. Mr Wing knows all about the Mogwaii and how dangerous it is and he returns at the end of the film to take it back after the hoard of gremlins terrorise the town in a rush of violence that is suprisingly healthy to see in a kid's film. They don't make them like they used to, that's for sure. My question is, what else does Mr Wing have? I'd bet good money that he's seen some seriously messed up stuff and, more importantly, has it in the store. I'm not quite sure why the Mogwaii is on the shelf with the other goods that
won't destroy a small town (or will they?) but stocking things not for sale definitely does not make a sound business model. The only explanation is that he is in on the act with his grandson, pretending not to want to part with surprisingly vicious creatures and selling them on to people in order to teach them a lesson. Maybe not a straight up serial killer, but he's dishing out the weapons that take care of it for him. You owe the people of Kingston Falls an explanation, Mr Wing.
