10 Most Cringeworthy Moments In The Harry Potter Movies
6. The Bathtub Scene - Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire
Harry Potter takes a bath. What else do you need to know? Okay, so there is something a little strange about Harry Potter taking a bath in the first place, because... well, there just is. Watching Daniel Radcliffe in his starkers wandering around Hogwarts isn't exactly normal, is it? Should he have at least brought swimming trunks? Who knows? Anyway, this scene features the boy wizard trying to unlock a clue that will help him in the Tri-Wizard tournament, and he needs to put - ahem - an egg in the bath to do so. During the scene, Moaning Myrtle, a ghost, turns up, and sort of... flirts with Harry? It must be said that Harry Potter is fourteen years old at this point, and even though Myrtle is a ghost and is dead, something just feels inherently wrong with the idea of her enjoying his nakedness. Can you imagine if it was the other way around? A fourteen year old Hermione taking a bath and Nearly Headless Nick turning up for a peek? Exactly. Anyway, at Myrtle's request, Harry dives beneath the water with his egg, and a lame song plays whilst Myrtle sort of dances around in front of him, and it's total cringetown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK6sRDBU0K0
